A FEW WORDS ABOUT MASANSA
Masansa is a village in central Zambia, which is developing rapidly, and changes are visible year after year: inflow of people, new houses, increasing number of shops at a local street market… three times a week there is tonga’s day, that is a day when the market fills with guests, while trade and services are in bloom! The village name itself means “trade roads junction”. At the market most often we can see young women, who try to provide for their families, selling fruit, vegetables and their own bakings.
In 2012 in Masansa the Divine Mercy Parish was established, which apart from the main chapel in the village, has also other 45 outstations, that is smaller communities, where priests come with sacramental ministry. To the most important, spiritual care (indeed this is the mission of the Church) we also add the care of education and other spaces. The support proclaiming the Good News about Jesus Christ.
